Annually we will be looking to recognize and honor schools whose African American student achievement, based on NCLB annual measurable objectives (AMOs) in English Language Arts and mathematics, ranks in the top 20% of designated grade level spans. Moreover, it is our sincerest pleasure and honor to highlight high achieving schools for African American students statewide.
The following criterion was used to determine the schools that are eligible for the award. The top 20% of schools at the elementary, middle and high school levels are highlighted. All schools listed below will receive the EDEquity Inc., Achievement Award Recognition.
Elementary, Middle, or High Schools who met their English Language Arts and Mathematics participation rates for the African American subgroup per NCLB definitions (see the California Department of Education’s definition in the 2005-06 Adequate Yearly Progress Report).
Please feel free to contact an EDEquity account executive to discuss the professional development services we provide schools to close the “Equity Gap” to improve the quality of instruction for all students.
If you know of other outstanding educators that would benefit from collaborating with EDEquity Inc., please send them to our web link: www.edequity.com .
