The staff development overview assists principals in learning key techniques for implementing the key principles of Equity. In concert with using state summative and district formative assessments, a comprehensive staff development plan will be implemented that aligns to the district’s instructional goals for improved student achievement. Administrators will be exposed to 10 equity-based series that will support their ability to become equity-driven instructional leaders. Key staff development objectives will be used to develop a clear and focused action plan for school site implementation by the principal. Monthly Equity series will be scheduled to develop a deeper knowledge of educational Equity to close the achievement gap.
Staff Development Model
EDEquity, in collaboration with district leadership, will determine the most effective means to build capacity to use data to guide school-wide decisions and equity-based instructional practices. Site-base training and/or “Trainer of Trainers” model will be discussed.
